Hoppy Saison by the fire pit. Have fresh picked sweet corn and brats on the grill.
What is best in life?" "To crush your enemies -- See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!"
Re: What are you drinking?
Yazoo Americana Fest Ale, a smoked IPA. Seems more smoky since the last time I tried. I guess the age is fading the hops a bit. Like...

Funk embraced...
Yazoo Embrace the Funk Sauvignon Blanc Brett Saison
Yazoo Embrace the Funk Sauvignon Blanc Brett Saison
This variation of Yazoo Brett Saison has been aging since winter in Sauvignon Blanc barrels from Napa Valley.
The extended aging in these heavy toasted barrels added a nice layer of tartness (due to the natural acidity of the wine) along with characters of Pear, Grapeskin, Honeydew Melon and nuances of Granny Smith apples. If you've had a nice Sauv Blanc wine, you'll find these familiar characters.
Expect a prominent oak presence with the heavy toast of the barrels. Even though it is ready to enjoy now, this beer will age and evolve in the bottle.
This is labeled as Batch 'ONE'

Bubs' IPA. It has had a couple weeks to condition and it's coming up real sharp but fruity. Almost too bitter for me. Almost!

A Middletown Pale Ale (an APA). been working on this recipe for a long time. I think I might be done, finally got the hops where I want them.

Re: What are you drinking?
Had a S. A. Winterfest from the tap for lunch. It left me wondering just what I had drank. Not sure how to explain it, but it *did not* float my boat, so to speak. Anyone else try one, what did ya thunk about it? Don't thunk I will have anudder one.
Life is short, live it to it's fullest!

A STONE COLD PETTINE PALE ALE, Amarillo and Nelson Sauvin hopped. WOW only 4 days on the gas this is good get the fruity, white wine flavors up front, some of the IBU bitterness in the middle and finishes back slightly fruity! Another week on the gas is gonna be really nice!

Been looking for that one here and it hasn't shown up yet. I've not been very happy with New Belgium lately and hope they can knock some good stuff out.BlackDuck wrote:I'm suckin down a New Belgium Hop the Pond Double IPA. It's really tasty.
Me, I had nothing but homebrew tonite.....nearing the last of the Mosaic IPA which will be gone this weekend, enjoying the keg hopped Levitation and testing daily little bits of DuganA.

Such a tease we are. The Scotch Ale sounds perfect for this time of year.
