Alright, Canada! Enough Already!

Post by Chuck N »

Either you Kunucks turn off the air conditioning or us 'Mericans are gonna have come up there and put a boot in you where it is most uncomfortable!
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

No kidding....It was below zero with the wind chill here (central Ohio). I feel for those that live in Buffalo, did you see all that snow up there.

Wind chills were in the 20's even down here this morning. I think I saw it was 18 in Memphis. Way too early for this stuff.
At least I don't have to cut my lawn for a while.

Your right way to early, I don't expect these temps here 'til the next month.

12 miles east of Cleveland, we have at least a foot so far, much worse further east, the real temp was 11 @ 6:00am wind chill was -15 in some areas. I'm just glad it waited for today and wasn't here Sunday, that would have added insult to injury @ the Browns game!

I believe this is coming from Siberia, over the North Pole.

This morning in Ann Arbor it was 15 degrees with a windchill of -6. Only a dusting of snow that barely covers the grass though.
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

Had to chuckle a bit. I helped convince my cousin to take the plunge and move to Beer City USA - also known as Grand Rapids, Michigan. She arrived over the weekend only to get pounded with a foot of snow and another expected along with sub zero wind chills. Ooopsie, I guess I won't be invited to their housewarming. Only saving grace is they came from Denver so have to be somewhat used to it.

No snow here yet, just cold. And I happily wear a sweater, grudgingly turn up the heat. What concerns me is that my last batch needed a bit of cooling while fermenting, the current batch has to be next to the heater. My next batch will use Notty or S-04. I hope not to have to make lagers!

Had a tough time working outdoors yesterday and today, that's for sure. I'm just glad I brought the brass monkeys inside last week.

NYS Thruway today just outside of Buffalo, This pic came off Farcebook so you can take it for what it's worth, but they are getting hammered just a few miles north of me, and I do know that for a fact.
Image
Just 15 miles north of me Dunkirk/Fredonia NY is shut down in my county, Buffalo is 50 miles north of me.
It's somewhat good here, some snow but haven't had to plow my driveway, but it is Damm Cold outside..........

A guy in WNY on another forum I frequent says he has over 5 foot of snow so far, still coming down. I'm not gonna complain about the zero degrees we are getting with a light dusting of snow, can still see the grass. Is it just me, or is this cwap coming real early this year? We are seeing late Dec. weather round here so far.

We've had cold and snow pretty early the last few years. (I blame global warming! :)) If I recall, it snowed Halloween at least once recently.
