Just finished sparging and now waiting for the wort to boil on Bubs' Pale Ale. Preboil SG estimated at 1.049, and I just measured 1.055! Looks like my mash efficiency just shot way up!

Added cherries to my wheat and since I had 2 extra fermenters sitting empty I figured I should fill one so I brewed up a batch of BrewDemon IPA.
Good judgment comes from experience, which comes from poor judgment.

I bottled my American Amber, made with MB American Ale, some Crystal, DME, Cascade and US-05. Came in at 5.2% ABV. The taste I got left at the end of bottling is pretty cloudy but tastes clean, slight hop aftertaste, which I wanted. It's hard to judge the color but I think it will be appropriate.

Bottled my IRA this morning. Color is a bit lighter than expected. I went a little on the light side with the crystal and malted barley because I wanted to avoid a very dark beer, but sample smelled and tasted great. Hops for days! Also, I need to replace my broken bottling wand. What a PITA!

Don't understand. It was rainey and cool, but it shouldnt
have made a gallon and a half difference.
Used US05 rehydrated in the 6 gallons, and Notty sprinkled in the 1.5 gallon.
We'll do an experiment while we have the ability! LOL!
Put the wrong batch size in the design box is why I have 7.5 gallons! Doomas!
6 gallons is at 1.010 10-22.
1.5 gallon is at 1.012. Much difference in flavors too.
I like the 05 version and Dee likes the Notty version.
05 is more robust and the flavors are more pronounced in my opinion.

Got a fiver of White Panama brewed today. Just a simple blonde ale, but one I think will stay in the rotation, especially as summer approaches. I can see this being a very good lawnmower beer.

Holy cow that stuff looks freaky. It's amazing that something that looks like that could actually end up tasting good.
