Didn't see a Happy Thanksgiving Thread So BBirds....

Post by Brewbirds »

Been kind of crazy here with our sale/move stuff but wanted to take the minute or two we have to wish all our Borg family a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

It seems that the typical weather travel nightmares will persist so those of you planning to be on the road make sure to take the precautions necessary to get back to us safely.

AND please all of you get off the roads by the first so BB2 and I don't have to deal with traffic.

I was just going to make one so thanks for starting this.
I wish every Borg member and their families a nice, enjoyable and food/beer full Thanksgiving.
I'm very thankful for so much but mostly for all the great folks in the Borg, sharing their knowledge and fun of this great hobby.

There won't be any shopping for me this season as many of the last decade or so. I don't think Christmas is about standing in line and fighting for parking spaces. If I want something, I go online and let the guy in the brown truck drop it off.
Ya'll have fun.

Yeah it's crazy here too. LOML and I decided to do the Thanksgiving thing here in the "construction zone" for her family so we've been busy getting the turkey cooking and the place as clean as it can be. To top it off we got dumped on with about a half a foot of snow so the sidewalks, drive way and roofs all needed cleaning. But now I'm relaxing with a good stiff Irish coffee and...Well, I'm just chillin'. :D :p

Oh yeah! And Happy Thanksgiving to every one on the Borg and their families!
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Dinner is at my place at 2:30 tomorrow if anyone wants to stop by. There's only 10 of us and I've got room for 12....so the first two to show up get a spot.

Safe travels to everyone that will be on the road. Make sure to relish the time with your families...I know I sure will!!!

Happy thanksgiving, everyone! I hope everyone finds things to be thankful for, and hopefully folks to share it with. For those in much of the country, stay warm. I probably don't need to remind anyone to enjoy some homebrew!

I'm smoking the turkey again this year (last year was my first attempt, and it came out flavorful, but a little dry, but I think I can conquer that this time around). We'll be going over to my parents' for dinner mid-afternoon. They have the biggest place, so it's best for them to host it, but we didn't want them to have to lift a finger for preparation and clean-up. We'll all be pitching in.

Our region got hit with a Nor'easter yesterday, which shortened my work day, and made for a little anxiety for my niece and her husband, driving in from PA, but they arrived okay, and we're all looking forward to getting together. I wish I had more variety in the pipeline to represent Fedora Brauhaus, but we'll get by.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to all and to all a Happy Thanksgiving! I can hardly believe it's that wonderful time of year again already. Today I hope everyone gets to eat, drink and be merry all at the same time. We're driving a short distance to spend the day with family and I'm bringing a keg of freshly brewed Belgian Witbier for us to drink today. This is a day filled with short naps, large portions of great food and plenty of cheer to go around, enjoy!
