"Kealia's Karate Chop Chocolate Stout"
How the heck did I miss this? Are you on a personal mission to brew a stout that I'll drink?
I can tell you that I like Guiness (FWIW) and I was able to drink a Left Handed Milk Stout when I tried it a while back.

My mother in law got me three Brewdemon kits,
Fermenting - Hellfire Deep Red
Coming up - Ye Ode Devil Nut Brown & Wild Spirt IPA
Anyone have any tips or ideas on how I can change/add stuff to them?

I would recommend not adding anything, so you can learn what the base refill tastes like. They have enough malt, you could add some carafoam/carapils steeped if you want a bit more head and mouthfeel, but I would not.DougFam wrote:My mother in law got me three Brewdemon kits,

God! I love this hobby!
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Got my Middletown Pale Ale into mash. Just finished breaking up the hops.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Oooo Ooooo Weeee! I've been busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest!
I brewed and bottled at the same time today. Started grinding my grain at 09:30 and am just now able to sit down while I'm letting the whirlpool settle in.
That's something I've never done before; whirlpool. I brewed up a batch of my "Passage To India" IPA and the recipe calls for a hop addition of 1.2oz of Centennial (I had to substitute Cascade) plus .3oz of Simcoe during the whirlpool. I had to look it up on YouTube to see how it's done and it's pretty simple.
In addition to all that I bottled my batch of "1421 Shire Ale" pale ale. The kitchen was/is a disaster but I'm slowly chipping away at it and hopefully will have most of it cleaned up before LOML makes it home.

Today I’m bottling a bourbon barrel porter, and tomorrow starting a NB chocolate milk stout. Really looking forward to tasting that one. Had to sub the yeast, my LHBS was out of both Wyeast Northwest Ale and the White Labs Pacific Ale. So I got WLP 005. the starter’s on the stir plate now.

Bottled a 2.5 batch of Accidental Altbier this morning. I'll be kegging the fiver of White Panama tomorrow, as well as brewing a 2.5 batch of Fedorus Magnus Kölsch. I think I'll be pretty well set for Christmas festivities.
