Classic qBrew - Updated Ingredient Database

Post by ScrewyBrewer »

I still use qBrew for designing my recipes and over the past year have made a lot of additions to the qbrewdata ingredient database file that I use. Today I found time to post the updated ingredient database online for brewers to download. If you're interested in how home brewers designed great tasting beer recipes circa 2008 then this is the application for you, if you're already using qBrew for your recipes the November 2014 database will provide a lot of new ingredients to select from.

Thank you Screwy. Was wondering if and when there would be updates as I still use the software for any of my concoctions.

Yes in my rush I didn't add new recipes, I've been only brewing all grain batches.

I'll sort through and pick out a few new recipes for the next update though, thanks for mentioning it.

I've just uploaded the updated qBrew ingredient database and included four of my favorite all grain recipes in the same download.

Thanks for the update, Vince. What can I look for in the ingredients or hops that was not in the original, to show that I have actually downloaded this correctly?

@Dawg LB Steve I've also added a lot more grain, hop and yeast selections and expanded their descriptions. You'll find all of East Coast Yeast's available strains and many more from WhiteLabs along with their flocculation rates, attenuation rates and optimum temperature range.
