Non News Flash...
the plumber is here fixing that leak in the line... as we move forward to the departure date.

Now the people buying this place just realized they have to be out of there place NLT the eve of the 29th... and they want to know if they can "rent" this place for the last few days.
I'm thinking we'd get something like 40 a day from them, (if that...won't get into it)...and it's gonna run us 85 a night (with dogs), I guess we'll just have to see

I was just guessing what they'd wind up paying for a few days early time... considering this house would Rent for about $1250 per month.
The Hotels around here that would allow dogs (20lbs and below) charge an extra 20 per night per flea bag

Dag you need to talk to some one about that, an attorney preferably, your RE agent at least. I worked for a title company and a buyer is not a buyer until you have gone to closing and the paper work is verified and completed. There is a risk to you for letting them in early, it may be slight but it is a risk.

I don't think I would do it. Tell them you would have to rent a hotel room and they would have to pay it. Since they would have to pay for your hotel room, they can just stay there (hotel) themselves. Letting them in before closing might end up costing YOU more in the end, don't do it, IMHO. Not your fault they did poor planning ahead of time.

People can turn into real dinks when it comes to closing. I wouldn't do it, too many worries about it.

from the dealings with the intermediaries, I suspect these people are the type that likes to ask favors so they can bend you over a barrel and then give it to you dry...then blame YOU if they hurt themselves in the proceedings.

I've never heard of moving in before closing, just moving the closing up a few before or later and compensating. Too much can go wrong, little Johnny falls down "your" stairs...might as well give it to them at that point... well, you get the point...

yeah, I was talking to the wife about it. I'm gonna tell our agent we really can't swing that. Lack of planning shouldn't be my problem. I'm always told to "suck it up Butter cup". Sometimes I am just way to nice to my own detriment.

Lack of preparation on their part doesn't constitute an emergency on your part.

Here in the heart of beer-centric Seattle, WA I ran into someone who is expanding their brewery; expecting a grand re-opening in mid to late September. He was buying a bunch of lumber and stuff from where I work. Cool Breeze! All Belgian, all the time!
