Beer-its what's for lunch

Post by Beer-lord »

Today, the twins third Friday brewing in a row, we decided to do a side by side for our liquid lunch whilst brewing. This is how southern gentlemen do it.

This version of Enjoy By seems a bit milder and a slight sweet. The nose on it was not as overwhelming as the Ghost which was a beautiful, dank and tropical fruit blast. Easily the best Louisiana beer by a mile, Ghost continues to amaze me. They can't keep it on the shelves.
I went back and forth with each sip thinking which I liked best and it was basically a tie. They are different beers but both are what we very much enjoy and they hit the spot.
Somehow we finished brewing RedBEERd's Nashville beer and were very close on the numbers.

Of course not. We'd rather throw hop pellets in the boiler instead.
It's s tough job but I hope we have 3 successful beers to talk about next month.

That SAD, OLD Ryder is nothing now but a place to hold things in a dirty, dusty garage that needs a cleaning......but I'd rather brew than clean.

Truthfully, we didn't hit it hard....we split the Ghost (8% abv) split the Stone (9.4%) and only had a Sierra Nevada Christmas Ale for lunch so, we behaved. But I can't promise what football sunday will bring.

And I'm hopeful that this beer, which I think I will call Nashville Nuclear Hop since Subatomic Hop is someone else's.........will be enjoyable come Jan/Feb when the group meets in Nashville. I'd like to bring a bomber or two of our Fresh Squeezed clone (Partially Squeezed) but I'm not sure it will be fresh enough (or even if it'll still be around) by that time. However, it's surprised me at just how good it was 2 weeks bottled.

I think that long weekend in Nashville will have movies made of it :) and I hope it's not involving jails, cops or worse.

I'm just bringing 1 change of underwear. Anything else is space wasted that could be beer.
Don't expect any cop trouble. I'm a very polite citizen.

I just recently had the Enjoy By on tap and would agree that it is smoother and sweeter than previous versions. Not a complaint, just observation. And I recall how good the Ghost was so that's a couple of damn fine brews to sip on while brewing!

(Deliberately avoiding talking about kilts, underwear and bail money...)

I'd bring a kilt too if I could make it. Just so you know. And my vintage Doc Marten dragon boots. Because you know they go together.
