Electric Turkey Fryer BIAB

Although you don't need a mash ton or other things to do BIAB, you still need the right sfuff to brew it right!

I wrapped it twice with this insulation. I get a simmer without lid, that's it.

Exactly my experience as well.

Are you using an extension cord? If you are, make sure it's at least a 14 gauge (12 would be better). If not, maybe it's a defective unit...
In Soviet Russia, beer brews you!
My brews
Fermenting:
Strawberry Rhubarb Wheat (5-gal)(AG)
Cranberry Mead
Buck-Flower Mead
Flanders Red (5-gal)(AG) x 2
On Tap:
Hefeweizen (5-gal)(AG)
Oaked Pear Cider

I have 14 gauge cords, but I was able to plug in directly to the wall. I'm going to crush the grains after the Viking game, will brew tomarrow. Hopefully it will go well.
