I asked my mom for a barley crusher and sent her a coupon through midwest, CYBERSALE (still good for another day or so) that gave 20% off. I emailed it to her and told her if she wasn't buying it for me I would since the coupon saves enough that it is cheaper through midwest with free shipping than it is through barleycrusher.com. She told me not to order it and she ordered it and shipped it to my house in VA. I was instructed to wrap it myself and not open till Christmas. I guess I can deal with that!

You are a smart man rabbitman and that's what I like about you and your Mom is smart also....... I also got in the cybersale and ordered a bunch of stuff from them. I told my wife and kids when asked what I wanted for Christmas that I needed nothing (Lie, what I always say ) But I do like beer glasses and I like trying different kinds of beer and Southern Tier Brewery is just up the road from us (hint) And also my LHBS has gift certificates available (another hint).

Thanks for the discount heads-up. Was going to order "something" from them today or tomorrow as found a $20 certificate I got when I picked up a wine kit from them via Groupon that expires at the end of the month. Maybe Christmas will come early for me as well!

Out of necessity, a whole of lot plastic hardware will be getting replaced as my “Christmas present to me” this year. (See my "S|-|it happens" post)
I was planning to upgrade from my 4-gallon kettle a 10-gallon Tall Boy for full-size BIAB batches, but I first need to focus on getting the plastic side of my operation squared away. So instead, Santa's going to be looking at a fermenter, bottling bucket & spigot, siphon, tubing, bottling wand, etc. A new kettle will have to wait.
