Living the life

Post by Beer-lord »

I have some days due me so since it's a slow time of year, I've taken a few Fridays off to brew. Today, no brewing but me and RedBEERd went to one of our favorite places and enjoyed the 63 degree weather (no sun though) and had to drink some draft beer. Enjoy By is the second best they've brewed. A tropical fruit bomb for sure. Every taste makes me moan. (no comments please).
Followed by a Ghost which was not as good on draft as last week. Still a yummy beer. Then I had a Sierra Nevada Wet Hop something or other that was just ok. Really, how can you follow Enjoy By and Ghost? Answer......YOU CAN'T!

I went to town for lunch with my old partner today, had a couple of IPAs (Montauk and DFH60) served by a smoking bartender who is also sweet and charming.
But it was 36 degrees.
Still warm in the bar.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.

Yes.
You are living and alive. That classifies for 'living the life'.

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
