An Important Warning
I just received an email from my favorite liquor retailer. It seems that North Coast Brewing company has re-introduced their "Old Rasputin" barrel aged stout. This was a very good and a very, very sought after beer in the past. But something has gone wrong with this issue. The wood barrels used in this issue were infected and infused the beer with a highly aggressive bacterial infection. This bacteria could cause un-told damages to the consumer's intestinal tract.
Unfortunately this infectious bacteria can also get into the ground water and multiply causing thousands, possibly even hundreds of deaths. So just dumping it out is not not only no good but illegal too. There is only one place in the country where one can dispose of it. And this is the scary part for me...IT'S RIGHT IN MY BACK YARD!
But out of concern for my fellow Borg members who may have purchased these BOTTLES OF DEATH I am willing to put my health on the line. Contact me and I will PM my address to you so you can send the infected bottles to me and I will dispose of them for you. Of course I will have to pay a fee to dispose of the infectious liquid but if you'd be willing to pay for the shipping I will take care of the disposal fees.
Just doing my part, buddies.

Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Thanks for the warning. Hopefully Beer-lord sees this. I think he just recently bought a bottle. I would hate for him to see his demise by drinking such poison.

Thanks for the warning. I'm going out with a bang or whatever it is I'll be infected with.

while 'tis true I was born at night...it wasn't last night.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Re: An Important Warning
I'll see what I can do about grabbing some bottles for disposal.

I assume you’ll filter it before dumping it, won’t you?

You have too, for two reasons. One, it's the only way to make sure the rest of the world is safe and two, the liver is evil and must be punished.alb wrote:I assume you’ll filter it before dumping it, won’t you?
