My son-in-law says he really likes the pumkin beer I made from Mr. Beer. Think I may let him have all but 2 bottles just to try at latter dates to see if they mellow out. To much spice for me.

Tried a sample of my cherry wheat last night, I like it much better than the Sam Adams one.

Another Tabby Hefe. It's strange... Wheat beers are supposed to be best young, but I feel like this one has come into its best flavor now after almost 3 months in the bottle.

Cigar City Maduro. In cans, slight metallic aroma. Chocolate comes thru. OK, nothing special.

My Middletown Pale Ale
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

After this yesterday...

ImageImage

I didn't think I'd want to drink anything today. But then we ended up at the original Puckett's in the village in Leiper's Fork today, listening to some good Americana music by Ronnie Fruge...

Image

... and there were taps right there, beckoning me... so I had to have some good Nashville beers (in red Solo cups...) to complement the good Nashville music...

Yazoo Pale, followed by Hap and Harry's Tennessee Lager

Had a good portion of Peppermint Schnapps with a few shots of my Blondie throughout the day. Feelin pretty, well, toasty for sure. Got froggy and figured all I could do was run the cats out of the county with my missed notes so said what the heck. Played the axe for the wife and son today, something I very rarely do, and surprised myself. I did pretty good! Only 2 sour notes all night, maybe I should get tipsy on schnapps evertime I feel like making noise. Dayum good day all in all. Tomarrow we go watch the new The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in 3D (PG-13) Can't wait, gonna be a good day! Wonder what wine will go good with the Italian dinner afterwards?
