Sincere wishes for a happy, healthy, fulfilling New Year.

Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl (or boy, whichever you prefer) and an honest one.
A cold pint -- and another one!

Cheers to my Borg brothers and sisters!

Oh boy, enjoying the barrel aged Rasputin. Might be too much for 1 person to finish but I'm trying.
Great warmth on a cold, windy night.

Happy New Year, Y'all. If you out and about tonight, be safe.
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Happy New Year to all! I brewed my Citrus Splash IPA today and and had an old friend stop by with some great brews. Pretty cool to find someone from back home that's been living down here for a while that shares my taste of great beer and homebrew. It was great brew day! Best wishes to the Borg and hopes for a great 2015. May your glass always be full and your homebrew be at it's best!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!

LOML and I bring in the New Year quietly at home with - usually - a little too much wine while watching movies. This year we watched one that I haven't seen for many years; "Black Beauty". The one that's narrated by the horse himself. A very touching movie and one that choked me up (although that could have been the wine :p ). Then we watched one that LOML wanted to see; "Frozen". We both like the animated movies and, although this was more of a musical than I like, it was a fun movie to watch.

Oh! BTW. Today I'm going to be bottling my "Passage To India" IPA that I should have bottled last weekend but couldn't due to Christmas commitments. And then I'll be brewing up a half batch of my "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" imperial stout at the same time.
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

I'll quote Halestorm:

Here's to us,
Here's to love,
All the times that we've f***ed up

Here's to you,
Fill the glass,
'Cuz the last few days have kicked my ass

Let's give em hell,
Tell em go f*** themselves

Here's to us!
