My HS2/Brett Brown is quite nice now. This was a brown ale fermented with a combination of Brettanoyces Lambicus and Southyeast Labs HS2 yeast, which is a yeast harvested from honeysuckle at Blackberry Farms in the mountains of Tennessee. A bit of funk, a bit of sour, some red wine, and some pepper. Very nice...

Tonight was a Firestone 31 Pale Ale and then a couple of pale ales that just didn't stand up to that one.

It's a high bar.

First I had an ESB ( the Mr Beer seasonal) then a 100 years war IPA (Fedora Dave's recipe that I tweaked slightly), and now a Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. So glad Dogfish Head is back in Indiana again!

I am enjoying my "Early California Lager". It's supposed to resemble what an early steam beer may have been like. It was fermented with 34/70 in the low 60s. FWH only with Cluster to about 37 IBU. So it's malty with slight butterscotch (probably some hop flavor) with a good bitterness.

I have poured another one from "The Nashville keg", you know, "For science". Hope there will be some left.

Another Shiner Birthday Beer, it was a long day and I've been wanting a beer since about noon.

Just tapped a keg of my Middletown Pale Ale
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Glass after glass of my Stone Levitation clone. I have to kick a keg to make room for Bela's IPA and it's been elected as the next to go. Oh, how I suffer through this.

I kicked the my Levitation keg last night and am drinking the real thing now. Made room for my Stout-nilla (not that I'm happy with it).

I concur, think you and I followed close to the same recipe. I did 11 gallons and racked it into my rum barrel. It lacks in roastyness and mouthfeel, but other than that it's a good starting point.

Oh, just poured another Levitation, hash marks are at 49. Can't remember how full I filled the keg. Just a few more and it will kick.
I hate playing "kick the keg" .

Had 2 Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA's at Lucas Oil Stadium while watching the Colts dispatch he Bengals. They have a pretty good selection of craft beers at the stadium.
