Re: BYE BYE
Bob,
Sometimes things don't go great, and you think it's not going to get better. WRONG! Focus on your health during your off season, and come on here and let us give you crap. We love to do it, just ask FIT (license taken here FIT).
Not to compare lives, because you cannot, but in the past 16 months we've put my in-laws into assisted living, had one of them be combative and declared unable to make their own decisions, put that person into a separate facility, lost an estranged parent and had to become executor and settle their estate without a will, lost an uncle, had to empty parent's apartment 800 miles away, and remove many, many tons of metal and wood from in-laws' house. Again, not the same as one's health, but 2014 was a crappy year none the less.
Please focus on the positive - you're here and able to exchange banter with us and talk about all sorts of mundane things (I won't point out anyone but they know who they are... ). Come here often and learn whether brewer X put in 1.5 or 1.49 ounces of hops, their quandry over whether to mill grain or crush with a rolling pin, and other edge-of-your-chair suspense. It's like Peyton Place, or As The World Turns. "Will Paul ask Angela that deep probing question"? Paul - "Angela, do you think I should brew outside or in my garage"?
Things get better, and no next week it won't be 8 degrees (it will be 9).
CHEER UP!

I'm glad to see the follow-up, Bob. I hope the new monitor helps the doctors figure out what's going on, so you can get back to your normal activities.
Re: BYE BYE
@Bob, wish you a speedy diagnosis and even quicker recovery. Remember, we're here as prescribed to help you through this.
@Rick, wow that's a lot going on, but yet you still make the time to give us all sh*t.
You must love us.

@Bob -
Very sorry to hear of your struggles. I can understand you being very depressed about your situation.
At least you realize that one of the biggest issues you're facing is your depression about your medical situation. Focus on fixing that -- or at least getting help with that -- while the docs continue to work on the physical stuff.
Stay strong!
(PS @ Rick - you too!)
Best wishes in 2015.

Sorry, Bob. I know nothing I say can change what's happening now. But for what it' worth, I sure hope they figure it out and get it fixed. Hang in there. I'll throw my prayers in the hat for you.
Re: BYE BYE
Bob, I am sorry to hear about your recent heart issues, but I think that you should hang out here more for the group support. Having a community that cares aboout you may improve your health overall.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Re: BYE BYE
Bob,I hope you get better soon. But listen to the guys. They're right. From the old Mr Beer forum to here, this place has been something of a sanctuary for me. After my accident and all the subsequent surgeries,I found a lot of support here and it helped keep my mind of myself. After my most recent surgery I was out for a long time. Yesterday I got on here to announce my first brew day in a long long time. I could damn near hear the applause and feel the high fives in this place. Let this group help you through the tough times. They're pretty good at it.

Re: BYE BYE
Just a short update. BP still is swinging all over the place. I need to see Nephrology (Kidney) next and have an extended EEG done, 8 hours, Neurology. A sleep study, should be interesting since I rarely get even 4 hrs a night. Going to try and brew. I am finally down to ten gallons. Have a SH**LOAD of ingredients. Way to much. A couple of kits, unopened 50 & 55 pound sacks and probably 4 - 5 pounds of hops in the freezer. YIKES!!!
Thanks For the thoughts and prayers.
