But this is a decent quality beer, better than the 'yellow fuzzy' stuff in the rest of the country.

Well, Rick. This summer get out and do some more ridin'. Then next time maybe you won't be holdin' the rest of the party back.RickBeer wrote:While in Florida, tried a Maduro Brown Ale from Cigar City.
Also had the chance to visit Dunedin (pronounced Dun Edin) Brewery and have a quick one, planned on more, but one of our party wasn't too good on a bike

Was not I. Older son's gf, who did not have a helmet either and whose bike did not fit her properly...

Some homebrewed amber ale which was brewed I don't remember when. Was kind of hop heavy when I had it before but it has balanced out nicely now.

Now I know why one of my guests at a playoff viewing event asked me on Saturday night: 'How do you know when your keg is getting low?'. Just checked; he must have asked me, cause he had killed the keg of Seahawks Victory Beer I tapped last night for the party; 5 hour life from start to finish. Cheers!

Keep eating all those cup cakes and cookies, Rebel and you'll be the twelfth man all on your own.Rebel_B wrote:Now I know why one of my guests at a playoff viewing event asked me on Saturday night: 'How do you know when your keg is getting low?'. I'm drinking one of my "Heart Of The Country" brown ales. They didn't carbonate very well. I boiled the dextrose in water (of course) before I added it the bottling bucket. Is that un-necessary?

I bottle with corn sugar. I boil the water in the microwave, then add the sugar and stir really well, then boil again in the microwave for a couple of minutes.Chuck N wrote:I boiled the dextrose in water (of course) before I added it the bottling bucket. Is that un-necessary?

Oh crap, that's still in the fridge. I've had quite enough so I think I'll wait until I can speak clearly next week to enjoy that one. Thanks for the reminder.BlackDuck wrote:Gonna go get a bottle of Winter Time RCE winter ale.
