They also have a malting facility here in Nashville in addition to smoking, brewing, distilling. Becoming quite the operation...1. Corsair Artisanal High Grav Beer Lab, Nashville, TN
Late last year, Corsair Artisanal distillery launched a full-on beer operation to compliment a diverse whiskey program. Since Tennessee has an odd law that classifies any beer with an ABV above 6.2 percent as a liquor, it's rare to find high gravity beers brewed in the state. Corsair's distilling license gives them a pass. Keep an eye out for their Hickory Alt, with barley smoked on site and their Ancient IPA, made with alt grains Farro, Kamut and Spelt.

More Nashville brewery news... Food and Wine magazine listed Corsair Artisanal High Grav Beer Lab (at Corsair Distillery) as the top of the list of the 10 Amazing Breweries That You're Excited About This Year (note that this is on my list of places I would recommend visiting Friday or Saturday):

Too bad there's no limit on repeated content...
I'm waiting for the posts that weekend, like the emails you get once and a while:
Dear ____:
I have found myself in predicament. I am in desperate need of cash to get out of jail and fly home. Please send, via Western Union, $______
Sincerely,

Well, I won't disagree (See my previous posts on my fascination with Faith Hill and you'll see why I may need bail and divorce money).
But then I want to say, we're all adults and we'll be fine.
On the other hand.............some of these guys wear kilts and others shower with cats so............look for the movie at theaters near you.

Hopefully the kilt-wearing cat showerer gets put in the right side of the jail...RedBEERd wrote:Well, I won't disagree (See my previous posts on my fascination with Faith Hill and you'll see why I may need bail and divorce money).

Worried that your body can't handle the level of alcohol toxicity?
I could do maybe 4 - 5 beers a day if I pushed it. You guys would leave me in the dust, plus the next day I'd feel like crap.

Re: Nashville - An Open Invite to All
I plan (at least HOPE TO) pace myself and while on our 'tasting trips' limit them to small sizes...or I'll die before Sunday night's home brew tasting during the superbowl. At my age, drunk doesn't get easier or prettier and paul will tell you, I'm a sleepy, sometimes crying drunk and we don't want that out there on 'the youtube' now do we?

I lost track, how many are attending? (so I can figure how to divvy up the homebrews I'm bringing)

I am drinking ale today."

We've been wondering the same thing and are bottling this weekend/mon night.jimjohson wrote:I lost track, how many are attending? (so I can figure how to divvy up the homebrews I'm bringing)
I Think i'm going to stick to bomber size bottles since we can get 3-4 tastings out of one and if I bring 3-5 of my beer (I'm only bringing one type of beer we brewed) that should be plenty of this one beer type. But if someone thinks that's not enough to go around with whatever crowd we may have on SB night, let us know please!

Page 14 has a listing about halfway down of attendees and possibles. I'm with you on pacing for the "tasting trips" RedBeerd.jimjohson wrote:I lost track, how many are attending? (so I can figure how to divvy up the homebrews I'm bringing)
I'm thinking about bringing six or eight 22oz bottles of mine.

Correct
Apparently I didn't lose count, but it's hard to go back thru the thread and count(I tried it before posting). Figured I had to have missed someone.

Re: Nashville - An Open Invite to All
Jim, then you wont' be able to taste some homebrews with us on Super bowl sunday? Maybe we ought to try to do SOME of that while you're here? Assuming there's time between sleeping, drinking and touring (which I figured is 5 mins of 'potty breaks' thru out the day.............you don't drink beer, you just rent it)
