View for the upper East corner of a room. In the room are many people talking, laughing, enjoying beer (but not dark beer, yeah right). Someone says "Ron really should be here" and everyone agrees. Next someone says "Road trip". Over the course of the next few moments people shuffle about packing while phone calls are made. The next view is of an empty room.

>Que fade out<

Ron, how much room do you have?

RedBEERd wrote:Jim, then you wont' be able to taste some homebrews with us on Super bowl sunday? Maybe we ought to try to do SOME of that while you're here? Assuming there's time between sleeping, drinking and touring (which I figured is 5 mins of 'potty breaks' thru out the day.............you don't drink beer, you just rent it)
Sadly no, SWMBOs being a real sport about running up there, she's even taking a vacation day so we can. (surprised me, getting her to do that is like pulling teeth) I want her to have all day Sunday to get over the round trip, as she must go to work Monday. She can't take 2 days because we are planning on running up to OH to see my brother this summer. (last time I got to do that was before MrB screwed themselves up) As far as home brews go I plan to leave everybody (wives included) with 4 of mine 3 "house brews" and a spiced Christmas Ale to be tried at your convenience...Oh yeah, BTW ATTN: RYEAHOLICS I think you'll be pleased with the CC even if it is a "icky dark ale" (SRM of 25). I don't make labels, I just scribble on the caps. You'll all be getting a CC (Cincinnati Common), AWB (American Wheat with Belma hops), MPA (Middletown Pale Ale, that's my APA), and WT (Winter Time the last RCE with Black Duck*) Bon Appetit

* we've actually been teamed the last 2 RCEs & both recipes were keepers.

Sorry man....but wait until you see the pictures.
I'd expect nothing less from the Borg than to kick a man when he's down!

Well that was part of my tactic...to kick him enough into guilting, cajoling, begging, whatever it takes to get him to come (tho I seriously understand why.......I just can't accept it)..

But I'm sure once we all spend a night or two in jail, he'll be glad he didn't come.

<jedi language> you will come to Nashville. Run away from home. Take the last train to Nashville and we'll get you out of work, explain to the wife and take care of everything.
C'mon man! I know you're really going to show up so just admit it and come clean.

I'll point out that Jackalope has free yoga in the brewery every Saturday at 11a, if any of you need to stretch out or something while you're here...

On a more serious note...

I know we're all about the beer, but if anyone is a wine lover (or has a significant other who is), we have a nationally renowned vineyard here as well. The Arrington Vineyard, co-owned by Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn fame, is a multi-time award winning vineyard. At the recent 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (the largest American wine competition), Arrington won the following awards:

DOUBLE GOLD
Riesling 2013
Syrah 2012

GOLD
Red Fox Red 2012

SILVER
Chardonnay 2013
Viognier 2013
KB 612

Though the vineyard is a great visit, especially in warmer weather, as they have tastings and great music, I'd doubt we have the time to travel 30 min to visit. Arrington wines are, however, available at any local wine shop.
