Midwest is having a shipping sale, $4.99 no matter how much you purchase. So I got myself a couple of recipes. Hop Scare IPA and a Cream Ale, both all extract. Both are five gallons however. It's baby steps for me to get full blown into the brewing again, but each step is a step forward. These will be my first five gallon batches since I broke down and I'll likely brew one next weekend and one the Saturday before the Super Bowl. If I brew the IPA next week, and the Cream won't need as long to condition as the IPA so I do it the followin week, I should be kegging both at the same time. I should be able to start pouring my own draft again by around February 21st.

Just starting a new project and it has a lot to do with making beer, but I don't think anyone could guess what it's going to be from the picture

I see a fence post and a pedestal. Has someone been getting into your fermenter without permission? :p

 Your going to build a wort aerator, kind of like Inkleg did a couple years ago, and the pedestal is going to support the tube in the middle of the run?

All wrong so far. It's not a piece of pipe, it's solid 2" round stock steel. The pedestal is in my shop and I just set it on there to take the Pic. Anymore guesses before I show the next pic/clue?

Hmm, don't make me think too hard Inkleg, it hurts my alcohol abused pea brain. :)
Ok the ugly looking chunk of steel yesterday looks like this today after some machining on the lathe. Lots more work is needed. but maybe someone can see what it's going to be now. SWMBO says it looks like heavy duty rolling pins and I said she was close to right and she said it would be real good to wack me with.

Bingo.. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Yes I wanted a good heavy duty grain mill and I liked the looks of the Monster Mill, I love fabricating and building things and I can. I use to build race cars but now I'm too old to drive one and too poor to build one. But I do like making and drinking beer so I enjoy building things for brewing. I won't post any more pics. on this for a while now because you guys guest it, but when its done I'll post the whole build ...... :clink:

I keep walking into things and getting scars that way. I think it's the beer.
Love it. Words we can all live by.
