Cool Kickstarter

There's this guy see? And he designed a collar to attach to a keg to use a metal tap, like a draft tower for picnics, including a drip tray. I think it's pretty cool, even though I just filled my first keg, and haven't taken it anywhere. I backed him, just because I love to see guys starting their own creative business, especially about beer.

But really, what's so bad about using a picnic tap? It does look like it's a very simple and easy setup.
You know, he could just buy a few pitchers and fill a pitcher from the inside kegerator and carry the pitcher outside. Maybe I'm just a bit too Italian for this thing.

+1 to that. Keeping it simple. I see a lot of cools things, but purchase almost none of them. Once in awhile, something special comes along which is cheap, practical and fun. But most of the time, if it worked for my grandfather, it works for me.

false premise, my picnic don't drip, nor does it fall from where I hook it.

I will drain that glass again.

Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Gee, Jim, that's harsh. :) I take the guy at his word, and there was interest in it on HBT. Maybe it won't go anywhere, but I hope it does. Full disclosure, I didn't support it at the level that would get me the product. I've only just started kegging, and I don't want to commit too much. I will get a cool tap handle (that I can't use yet) though!

Although I could probably whip this up quickly and print it, this did give me an idea. I could take a "classy" 2x4, duct tape it to the corny, put a hole throught it, and slap on a backup tap. Nothing but class at The North York Brewing Company!
