Are you effing kidding me!?!?!?

Post by truckndad »

UPS has my Midwest shipment as having been delivered today at noon. THERE IS NOTHING ON MY FRIGGIN PORCH!!!! God Dammit, someone stole my beer kits. I mean, seriously, WTF is wrong with people. These were going to be my first 5 gallon batches in what feels like forever and now some shithead had to take that from me. I can't fuc*ing believe it.
Wait til the little shit opens it up and finds a bunch of grains and extract absolutely worthless to him.

If UPS didn't get a sig, then they are responsible for it. Some areas are left up to the drivers' opinion and past experience for theft and whether UPS will designate that area as safe to leave on the porch or side. Midwest will work with UPS to make it good. Since Midwest is the shipper, they have to make the claim but ask them to reship and not wait for UPS to settle up so you can get your delivery. This isn't the first time Midwest will have dealt with this so other than patience, it'll all be good in the end. Might even be your best batch of beer!

And maybe, hopefully, there was some other error and it wasn't stolen. Maybe it was a fill in driver who left it at a neighbors. Or the computer got confused and it will arrive tomorrow. If it was stolen, the thief will get his due one day.

Hope you get it resolved quickly! This is one of the reasons I have anything that has to be sent be shipped to me at work, it gets signed for and it won't be sitting outside while I am not home.

Rick, the tracking info had it on my front porch. I can tell you with the utmost certainty that it isn't there.
I will call Midwest today and see what they can do. I've never had this happen before. That's one of the things I love about living out in the country is I never had to worry about this before. So much for that, huh

A recent trend is for people to follow the UPS driver and steal the packages. Several were caught in our area. We are sort of rural.

As stated, it's Midwest's issue and hopefully they will resend and not ask you to wait for the claims process. Midwest and Northern are owned by a deep pockets investment firm so they have the bucks to do the right thing.
