I Know This May Be Sacrilegious
But do any of you think it mat be possible to think about beer too much?
Today I went to my LHBS. I've never been real impressed with the place; always short on ingredients - unless you're making wine. Like today I wanted to get, among other thing, a vial of White Labs California Ale yeast. They didn't have it.
But I also needed some hop sacks and a new BIAB bag. The kid at the cash register asked if I did BIAB and I said I did and explained why I need a new bag. He then asked how I calculate the water needed to do a full volume mash and allow for grain soak-age. I told him I got some figures from a Zymurgy article on BIAB and that is what I use. S he showed me this nifty as heck BIAB calculator that he got off the internet, gave me the address and sent me off.
So I got on the computer once I got home and looked up the site.
Not only had I already been to the site in the past (the site name was in purple on the Google results page) but I also had the site saved in my favorites. I just forgot it was there.
Oh! And if you're wondering which site it is (and I'm sure the Borg is where I got it from) here's the link:

You may be right, but that's why we call it "The Obsession".
On the other hand, if you visit brewing sites then forget, you may just be getting older!
Or even, you're not thinking of beer often enough.

I think of beer at work, on the pot, in church, at the gym and every other place except during sex but then, I'm only not thinking about it then for a very short time.

BL try thinking about beer one time during sex. It might not be as short of a time as you think:)Beer-lord wrote:I think of beer at work, on the pot, in church, at the gym and every other place except during sex but then, I'm only not thinking about it then for a very short time.

I actually drank beer during sex. But in my defense, so did she! (Yes, it was a fine moment. Of course it was craft beer)

I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...

No Rick. Don't be silly. It's that old people need a break in the middle of really vigorous sex! Or as we like to say, don't hurry, take your time.

Chuck, don't be silly. I think about beer morning, noon and night. Usually it is wishing I can brew more but recently it is more of the business end again. Couple guys in the brew club have been tossing around the idea of opening up a brew store. See where that leads to.

I had actually "kinda" looked into this myself. The problem I have is that I have absolutely no capital and no business experience to convince anyone to "stake" me. Plus, the over-head is well into the scary range with a LBHS.D_Rabbit wrote:Chuck, don't be silly. I think about beer morning, noon and night.
