It seems we don't have a place to show off our labels yet, or direct people to make their own. I remember new label threads seemed to pop up all the time on the old board.
I'm going to (finally) label my raspberry wheat bottles tonight. I'll be using my standard method of printing off a couple pages that I've done up in my fake photoshop program. Just cut them out then affix them to the bottles using milk. It works, and they come off real easy, but not too easy that they fall off.

I use PhotoPlus free for image editing, and just regular old printer paper, nothing special there. images are around 400x300 pixels that I stretch into about 1.5 inches high and 2 inches wide. I get 2 columns of 5 per sheet, so 3 sheets get me a case worth of labels with extras.

Just like i noted in the original message: milk. Just brush a bit on the backside and they stick right on really nice when it dries.

Gizmo this seems like as good a place as any for the official label thread. I edited your title just a bit.
I used Avery self adhesive removable labels (and some similar from BLM). They work great, but can be kind of pricey. Here's a few I've done in the past.
Now I mostly just do Avery circle stickers for the caps.
I haven't done any labels before but I made up this one that I'll start using once I get set up with using glass bottles. I'll just write down the type in the center on the mud cover.
Good judgment comes from experience, which comes from poor judgment.

One great thing I've noticed about using glue sticks to stick them on is that a days soak in a cooler with hot water and they fall right off. No peeling, no scrubbing, no residue.

I use to use glue sticks, but I've found that using milk is quicker, less sticky mess on fingers and table, and they are super easy to peel off. Glue stick labels require a soak, milk stuck labels you just peel off then rinse, no soak needed. Not to mention we always have milk, but had to go out of my way to find a new glue stick when I ran out.

Maybe it's the stock I use but I've never been able to get the milk to work for me.

Are any of you using laser printers for your labels? I find I'm having a problem using an inkjet printer. The ink runs if it get damp or wet and stains the counter tops. That is a bad thing in my house....
Here's the official Naked Cat label. I've added "Not to get technical.......but according to chemistry, alcohol is a solution" under the picture. I'll see if I have a picture of it.
