A little update - yes I am still working on it (among a lot of other projects) it will be done before the snow melts.

DONE, the fish are happy I'm Happy. It's been a long project but is a success. I do need to buy a new light for it but that's around $80, I can make a lot of beer for that amount and there are priorities involved here

It looks more like art then an aquarium. That's excellent work.

Re: Always something new to do....
It appears you began this project on November 30th, and are finishing it 4 months later. Why do I mention that? Because I admire your perseverance. I hate/abhor/despise projects that last over a long period. I lose interest. Of course I lack most of the skills that you used, but more importantly lack the patience. I have a friend that restored a car over 10 years. Others that spent a year remolding a part of their home themselves. I'd rather shoot myself.
Congrats on the great result Berryman.
