Home brewed Oktoberfest.
Good judgment comes from experience, which comes from poor judgment.

HS2/Brett Brown Ale... this one isn't half bad. I guess I shouldn't have been gunshy about bringing it out last weekend...
Oh, and... #datGlass... Thanks, Inky...

Well, just grab a few and get in the car and drive south. Mardi Gras starts tomorrow so I think we could find something to do while you're here.

Well, I was gunshy because its sister beer proved to be a little past its prime earlier in the evening...

Blackstone Atom Bomb, it's a little oxidized and getting past it's prime. Oh how I will suffer through the other 23.
Your more than welcome Swen. It's just a small gesture compared to how much you gave us over the weekend.

Re: What are you drinking?
Just popped open Jim Johnson's MPA = Middletown Pale Ale. Somehow I don't remember trying this one last weekend.
This is a PERFECTLY STYLED Pale Ale. Great color, PERFECTLY carbed and has just the right bitterness and not over hopped. Has a great nose and as it warms up I actually get a slight taste of coriander (tho my nose isn't all that good). Really, I'm not the biggest fan of pale ales (tho Blackstone's PA was damned good) but this one I'd drink regularly.
Jim, I liked your Cincy Common but this one is definitely a do again beer. Thanks for sharing.
PS. Sorry the picture is fuzzy and over lit.........didn't feel like spending too much time taking it...had to get to drinking.

Re: What are you drinking?
No pics but I'm trying to finish the 2 gal keg of Fresh Squeezed clone that Beerlord and I did a few months back. I was worried that it may be old and funky but to my surprise, the keg has done well. My daughter is helping me finish it and I think by tomorrow night, bob's your uncle.
And its really very good. Better than I remember it being a few weeks ago. I would DEFINITELY do this again. While it doesn't have the nose it once had, its still got that oj quality to it....and typing that sounds weird but it's not...its extremely delicate, not overly hoppy but carbed wonderfully.
Later tonite, it's time for the porter and stouts.

Re: What are you drinking?
Heard about the Fresh Squeezed leading up to last weekend, I don't recall tasting it. Was there some?
