Did not get a chance to read all the way through, but I do take offense to #1 on this list!

Re: 19 types of Beer Snobs
why did you only ever brew 1, from a kit?
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Re: 19 types of Beer Snobs
I guess I'm guilty of almost half or more of them.
I should be punished..........someone give me a beer.

Re: 19 types of Beer Snobs
Funny list. I would add one more to that list from my personal experience.
The Brew Club President
You are introduced to him for the first time by a friend (fellow brewer) and the first words out of his mouth are, "You should join our club. We can help you make better beer." Not only has he never sampled your brew, asked what styles you like or what you are currently drinking/fermenting, but he actually calls you "Guy" literally seconds after the introduction.
Strike 1: Assuming my beer can't be up to his club standards since I'm not a member. Strike 2: "Guy"? Really? Just ask my name again because you just confirmed that you forgot it instantly anyway. Best part was the look on his face after he said we can help you make better beer, and my friend told him about my 2nd place finish in a large competition. To see the mythbusters walrus type mustache go from condescending smirk to sheepish "oops" in 2 seconds was priceless.
I'm sure this doesn't describe most brew club presidents (hopefully), but it turned me off from ever going to one of their meetings.

Fermenting: Bucket 1 - Fresh Squeezed IPA; Bucket 2 - Empty
Kegged: Keg 1 - Irish Red; Keg 2 - Cream Ale; Keg 3 - Amber Ale; Keg 4 - APA; Keg 5 - Empty; Keg 6 - Empty; Keg 7 - Empty
The reason why the above list is so small Home Theater Build

Re: 19 types of Beer Snobs
I got a chuckle out of this.
I forget who posted it, but the best delineation between a "beer geek" and a "beer snob" was back on the Mr. Beer community board. I'll always remember it. A beer geek cares about the beer he drinks. A beer snob cares about the beer YOU drink. I've crossed that line more times than I'd like to admit, but I'm getting to the point now where I can say, you're drinking a Coors Light? Okay. I'll just be over here enjoying my craft lager or homebrewed IPA.

Re: 19 types of Beer Snobs
Alright. I admit it; Number 3 fits me pretty well. I've been a bourbon/scotch/coffee snob for most of my life. Beer is just the latest addition to the list.

I'm not sure this is an accurate description. The Professor
Won’t even listen to you unless you’re AT LEAST taking Cicerone classes. But she will talk. OH, will she talk.

Although I know about BJCP I had to google Cicerone.
I could possibly be guilty of droning on and on if someone says the word beer in a casual conversation.
