RCE 2015 pairings
Here's the list of pairings for the RCE. Now it's up to the participants to communicate, work on a style/recipe, and get brewing!
lindseywinstead/dwaynebutcher
BeerRust/Banjo_guy1
Foothiller/joechianti
theprofessor/LouieMacGoo
FedoraDave/myhorselikesbeer
BlackDuck/jimjohnson - hey, I joked that you two guys were gonna be paired up, and look what happened! Totally random, I swear!
FrozenInTime/Knightmare
Going forward, I may change the way people sign up. I'll still keep the Category 1-4 designations, but based on the responses I got, I'm going to ask which categories you'd be willing to work in. Some people may not want to do anything but extract/steeping grains or aren't comfortable outside of doing AG mashes. And that's their prerogative, but many people said, "I'm level 4, but will work at any level." That's great to know, so we'll be doing that in the future.
Have fun, guys! And let's make some great beer!

Sweet....being paired with JJ again is awesome. As far as I'm concerned we are 2 for 2 on our collaborations. Thanks Dave for doing this. Here we go again Jim!!!!

Re: RCE 2015 pairings
I love how people thank me for all my hard work. Really, guys, there's no heavy lifting going on. Still, I appreciate your thanks.
BlackDuck, can you or another made sticky this thread? People have to see it! Much grass.

I think that going forward, RCE Rule Number 01 should be: NEVER admit how little thought/effort/preparation goes into collaborating the collaboration.FedoraDave wrote:Really, guys, there's no heavy lifting going on. Still, I appreciate your thanks.
We need our illusions to remain intact.

Awesome! Looking forward to working with lindsey. PM being sent next!!
Yes, Dave, thanks for doing this. I know how hard it can be to organize anything, even if it is "making" people brew beer together!

LOL
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Sorry. Been difficult getting on here lately with all of the more frequent doc appointments for the baby since she's due next month. This weekend I had requested off for my birthday has been the longest time off I've had in a while.

Re: RCE 2015 pairings
Hey, family comes before anything, even brewing. As long as you get some beer made, it's all good (although, if the baby's due any second, you can kiss that goodbye).
There will be another RCE right around Labor Day, so keep your eyes peeled.

Re: RCE 2015 pairings
Dave, even though you say it's not much effort, thanks very much for coordinating the RCEs. You are the one who makes it work.
I have sent a PM to Joe, and Joe, I am looking forward to whatever we do.
