I could really be that your expecting more from Stone but they are overpopulating the IPA's that they start running together somewhat.

My buddy just posted that a local place has 3.14.15 on tap so I'll likely go try that later since it's a place that specializes in flights.

It's a good thing you were a no show in Nashville. Posting stuff like that could get you beat up.Kealia wrote:My buddy just posted that a local place has 3.14.15 on tap so I'll likely go try that later since it's a place that specializes in flights.
Hope y'all have fun.

I'm liking the Sierra Nevada Hop Hunter here much more then the Enjoy By. I've got piney earthy hop burps. Yummy piney earthy hop burps. Lingering hop flavor in my mouth for 5 minutes after a sip. Didn't get any of that with the Enjoy By. If you want tropical it's not here, this is piney, but I like it that way.

I haven't had this version either. I did notice that the Total Wine near my home was selling 64oz growler fills for $25.99!Beer-lord wrote:I haven't had this version but they do seem to differ a bit from batch to batch I guess, depending on the hops they get, but I love em. I think it was last July's batch that I thought was best. I just like the flavor and aroma that are so very tropical to me.

Tis true.....out in mid March. I guess that's when 4/20/15 comes out. We've not had any for 2-3 cycles so I'm ready for spring time Enjoy By in 6 packs.

Firestone? FIRESTONE?? Ok color me stupid, when did they branch out from making tires? Is it safe? Remember the 500 and Wilderness ATs.

I had the bomber of 3.14 last night and while it was good, it wasn't as enjoyable (see what I did there?) as even the 2.14 batch IMO.
Maybe I was just out of it - by the time I got to it last night I was tired and not in the best mind frame to really enjoy a bigger beer. It just seemed a bit out of balance to me, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have.
I can say that I usually do, but I don't always want a big beer so I may just stick to the occasional bomber of this rather than picking up a six-pack when they become available. But I reserve the right to change that decision when I actually come across them.

Re: Enjoy By 2/14/2015... meh?
I picked up a bomber of 4.20 this weekend and today my buddy texts me says "I found Enjoy By 4.20 in a sixer, you wanna split it?".
Rats, I didn't think we had them yet. Oh well, "stuck" with a bomber of Enjoy By....how will I survive?
I am anxious to see how much I like this one since the last few didn't really wow me - and yet I keep buying them.

I sometimes wonder if, having these so often, they are still good but you might be getting use to them. I can say I've backed up from very hoppy beers somewhat (just a bit) and am swapping out with pale ales, mid range ale/ipa beers and stouts. Then drink something like Ghost and bam, hello taste buds.
We've been forgotten the last few releases but I expect to get a bunch of the next few batches.
I'm hoping for Ruin Ten soon as well.

I'm not sure if that is it. I did the same thing about 2 months ago: Went back to pales and ambers because of all the insanely hopped beers I was drinking.
The last Pliny I had was great. The last Enjoy By was good. We'll see how this one is.
