Beer News

Post by berryman »

A couple interesting Articles on Southern Tier Brewery, My local brewery. Not too far from me and we (the Chautauqua County Dept. Public Facilities http://chautauqua.ny.us/329/Public-Facilities) where I work did all the site work when they expanded and built the new brewery, I was there many times before and after.
I kind of find this interesting for the good or bad: http://www.craftbrewingbusiness.com/bus ... -exec-ceo/

It is an interesting article. I recently finished reading Beer School, by the founders of Brooklyn Brewery. One of the founders was a banker, and there was plenty of discussion of financing. I think there are two risks: losing control of your brewery, or over-expansion. The obvious upside is growth. While I love the stories of independent business, I also appreciate capitalism. I hope it all works out.
