Live long and prosper

Post by joechianti »

I was just informed that every time you smoke a cigar it takes 10 minutes off yor life. Now I'm no math expert, but it usually takes me 30 minutes to smoke a cigar, so I figure every time I smoke one I'm actually gaining 20 minutes. I better start ordering larger boxes if I want to collect back everything I paid into Social Security.

Smoke 'em fast enough and you could live forever!
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

When I smoke 'em with a hit of mescaline I feel like I could live forever.

I thought I had, too. Smoked cigaretters for 27 years, with a few years of pipes and cigars as well. Quit smoking 15 years ago and truly believed I was done with it. Still have no interest in cigarettes, but have started a new love for cigars. I just hope it doesn't shorten my life too much. I'm barely 5'7" now from shrinking already.
