I had a brain fart today (well most everyday I do ). I'd like to food color a beer to a deep green but not for St. Pattys day. A friend brought me this hat back from the races at Bristol last weekend...I'm a JD tractor fan.
I think I'd like to make a beer and call it this with a label like that, but it has to be Green. Maybe a light pilsner for a base, not real bitter on the start but maybe a little grassy on the finish. I have used a little food coloring in some reds, but I wonder how much to use in a 5 gal batch and when to add to get a John Deere Green?
