Re: I deserve a homebrew because....
I deserve a homebrew because my bowling team (Short Bus) managed to win first place last Friday. We only needed three points to clinch it, and we didn't get that third point until the tenth frame of the third game, but we got it! I feel kinda bad, though, because I bowled terribly and didn't contribute anything to the effort. But I also managed to stay in the lead for individual points, too. It was a good season.

Enjoy your beer Dave. I think it's safe to say you did your part all season.

Yeah, I was just embarrassed and frustrated Friday because of my poor performance. But it occurred to me this morning that, since I was first in individual points, I really did contribute a lot to Short Bus's success. And the guy who came in second in points, just two points behind me, is also on our team.John Sand wrote:Enjoy your beer Dave. I think it's safe to say you did your part all season.

Because I still have not been able to finish work I started in on a half our before we actually opened this morning, and I fear I have lost about 60 IQ points talking to just two nitwits that took up 90% of my morning! then afternoon came and the rest of the day crapped on me! If there was a window in my office I would have been licking it by lunchtime. At this rate I see 4 more Mondays ahead this week!

Because it's Celebrity Week on Jeopardy, which is dumbed down for Hollywood IQ. Or is that too whiny on my part? In which case Celebrity Jeopardy would be right up my alley. Except that they are still idiots. I'll get that beer.

Wanna see morons, work retail. The ignorance I see daily is staggering. If it weren't for the wonderful people on this forum, I'd have given up on humanity long ago. If with you great folks, I still think we have very little future as a human race. <goes in his cave and hides from the world>

I've worked retail too. But I didn't see real stupidity until I took up police work.

The reality is that the majority of mankind lacks common sense. The more you interface with wide groups of people, the more you realize it. When you see things like Keeping Up With The Kardashians and such having huge followings, that just reinforces it.
Unfortunately for mankind, you don't have to pass any test to procreate, thus the population of vacuum heads continues to grow exponentially.

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Right.
Then again, we were watching Big Bang Theory when my mother was in town last week, and she said "this is such a stupid program I can't watch it, they're not even funny". Of course Big Bang Theory is one of the top sitcoms of the past decade, and may go on to be one of the top of all time. She doesn't get the humor, but she didn't watch Star Trek.
