I like the look of the amber conical. It's dark enough with still being see through. It all comes down to the cost for me. I would love to have one but the cost has me curious if it's worth it. From previous posts about this conical, the bottom valve for yeast dump looks rather extravegant. Tri lock clamps and all that will probably up the cost.

@Madbrewer, my impression is that they are going to sell it with an option of only a dump plug (no fancy valves) and shorter legs, which should be a less expensive and easier to "fit" option. I might get one as a 5 gallon fermenter, I don't know yet, still weighing my options. I'm still not sure I want to go back to a true 5 gallon fermenter, although I would like something a wee bit bigger then my 2.5 gallon LBCs.

Wow...that's a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be close to the size of an ale pail.
