Calypso

Post by philm00x »

I have an ounce left from a four-ounce pack I bought from Farmhouse for the Belgian pale ale I've got conditioning now, and I've got to say that I'm a huge fan. Peaches and pears, maybe even a little bit of apple in there, is all I smell! They're high alpha (15.2% in the bag I got) but very aromatic so they are dual purpose. I can see this being fantastic in a fruity wheat beer, maybe a wheat pale ale.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Edgar Allan Poe
