Holding off on my plans to brew today
I got an email from the AHA telling me my hops are on their way. At first I was going to do an IPA when I got them. But then I decided I would like to know what each one is like. So I am going to do a single hopped APA with each. I won't brew next week because I will be kegging my wheat beer. So I will brew the following week and the week after that.
Re: Holding off on my plans to brew today
Thank you, and good night.
Kidding, of course. Planning is half the fun. Now that I keg, I consider keg space too. But I know I can always bottle the last bit of a keg if I need space. Or even bottle a batch.

Never mind, there it is.

Which hops are you getting? I was never crazy about any SMaSH's I've done though the few single hop brews did teach me something. Mostly, I'm not a fan of all Mosaic but do like it mix with others.
I still seem to prefer the complexity of using multi hops in most beers.

They are the two hops we talked about in the other thread. I can't remember the names of them. They were experimental hops last year.
My New World IPA single hopped with Columbus was a pretty good IPA, as was my Tazmanian Wheat single hopped with a lot of Galaxy hops. Some hops are absolutely delicious on their own. I love a single hopped cascade APA. In this case I am single hopping two APAs to learn what these hops taste like.

I found my AHA hops today being blown down the road in a thunderstorm.
But I can run fast, so I have them.

Dang I am glad you got them. I used to be able to run fast but now I can't run at all.mashani wrote:I found my AHA hops today being blown down the road in a thunderstorm.

You got water falling from the sky out there?
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
