Update from DaYooper

Post by RickBeer »

I emailed DaYooper earlier this week to see how he was doing at his winery up in northern Michigan. I envisioned him stomping grapes with dirty feet, like Lucy...

Opening day was May 1st, 5 customers, but over the next two weekends closer to 750 customers. There was an event for the entire penisula called "Sip & Savor", and they got a fast education. Slowed down after that, but now ramping up with summer.

For those of us that complain about bottling, he has around 1,600 - 2,000 GALLONS waiting to be bottled. I would assume he has some type of a bottling line, he didn't say.

He told me to tell the Borg that he says hello, and to look him up if you're ever up in upper Michigan. Silver Leaf Winery on Facebook
I have over 9,000 posts on "another forum", which means absolutely nothing. Mr. Beer January 2014 Brewer of the Month with all the pomp and circumstance that comes with it...
