I admit it

Post by Gymrat »

I am drunk

But I am sitting on my patio, not driving anywhere, so who cares? At least that is the way I look at it.

In my defense this IPA is FREAKING (can I say that here?) good. It didn't turn out as "hoppy" as I had hoped. But the balance really is nice.

The hop flavor is there, but it is balanced out by the malt. And the malt tastes really nice. There is absolutely NO bitterness on the back side. There is admittedly (thank heaven for spell check) not much nose to it. But the flavor is terrific. The more sips I take the more difficult it is to type. But for the sake of my readers I must endure. Geeze what I sacrifice for you people. I just hope you appreciate it.

I can't think of a better combination than Simcoe and Amarillo. But when you can combine that combo (can I say that?) with the flavor of the malt resulting from the grain bill in this recipe you get this incredible rapture of complexity, between the hops and the malt, in your mouth.

I guess a better way of putting this is....DAMN THIS BEER IS GOOD!

I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber

I am drinking ale today."

Preach on brother!

I dig anything with Simcoe and Amarillo. That combo will get me drunk every time too.

All I can say is, props to you for being able to type so coherently while drunk! Good beer at home is always a good time.
