I just set a record

Post by Gymrat »

I carried my grains out to my brewery at 10:10 this morning. I was all done cleaning up and had everything put away at 2:10. That's 4 hours :D
I did make one mistake, I mashed at 150 for an hour, typically anytime I mash under 152 I go 75 to 90 minutes. I thought my OG was a little low at 1.048 with 9.5lbs of grain meaning I didn't give enough time for conversion at that low temperature. But it's all good, 1.048 should lead to a beer right at or just under 5% ABV which will make a good hot day sessionable beer :clink:

What I like is brewing when I have no rush at all. But if I crush the night before and get my water out the night before I can do it in under 4 1/2 hours
