Long ttime no see

Post by Photon Brewing »

Wow it has been a long time. See many of the same faces so that is good. I havent brewed in two plus years and not sure I remember how. But now that we are finally settled into our house, it seems like a good time. Life has been hectic for the last three years. My wife and I got out of our townhouse and found a steal of a house in a beautiful neighborhood. Closed on a large two story colonial that was mostly updated. THE LAST TIME I WILL EVER MOVE AGAIN. Do not have the patience for it any longer. Luckily our new house is large, updated, clean and surprisingly layed out in a way condusive to our lifestyle. My inlaws gave us a large bar that fit nicely against the back wall of the man cave. I bought the finishing touches like a huge fish tank, 65 inch 4k def tv and a klipse sound bar that literally can shake the entire property. And of course a new kegerator that brings it all together. Honestly, I dont now how I ever got by before. And I had a gift card to local brew store so i went and got a corny and the things needed to keg my own homebrewed beers once I start brewing again. So everything in the house is set, minus the office/3rd bedroom. We then hunkered down for the winter and once the weather got nice tackled the outdoor/landscaping. Built some garden beds using 4x2x2 galvanized water tanks that fit nicely on the patio area. Planted some 60 flowers and trimmed all the bushes and trees. Have a few projects still on the burner but they can wait.

So anyways, just wanted to check in and say hi. Hope all is well with the borg. Looking forward to breaking out the supplies soon and giving this keg thing a try.

Welcome back. It is very similar to riding a bike.... except the final product has alcohol and you intake a lot more calories while doing it instead of burning them! Just coming back from a 2 year layoff myself you will find that first brew session back will scratch a long needed itch!
