I get, "We're moving to the Cloud! We'll be back as fast as possible. Thanks so much for your patience! HBT" when I go there.
I'm not feeling good about cloud stuff. I prefer to keep my important stuff close to home.

I got that or a similar message when it first "went down" but now I don't get anything but "This page can’t be displayed

•Make sure the web address http://www.homebrewtalk.com is correct."

This has shades of the "Radical upgrade" that Mr. B did. :?

Honestly I hope they didn't run into too big of an issue moving things over.

"The Cloud" is scary!! Our company put on of the quoting and business tracking systems on "the cloud" what a nightmare that has been!!! Just seems so, just throw it out there in the clouds someone will find it. We are so trusting with IT information, that is the scariest part of it. Who gets your info and what can be done with it? What cloud, who's cloud, who's controlling that cloud for whom?????

Perhaps instead of moving to "the cloud" HBT has moved to "the ranch" to enjoy their last days...

Mostly when I get "this page cannot be displayed" is at work and certain types of sites are blocked. They run a couple of desktop towers and call them "servers". Then they overload those "servers" with daily working systems and blame slow internet on internet traffic! Um Yea especailly when our systems are internet based!!!! :?: :?: :?: :?:

Well I am receiving a couple of different errors trying to access their forums. It would be nice if they put a notice up on their homepage.

You never miss something so much until it is gone. Was trying to get some input on a product I was going to buy so I went to hop on HBT to check out some threads on it and...... no go! Remembered this thread and cursed a bit. Guess i'll have to wait to buy more brewing toys!

It seems the move to the 'Amazon Cloud' was a bit trickier than anyone had planned for. After a sleepless night and most of the following day the HBT developers were finally able to get it done.

Thanks for your patience.....
