Re: The No Post Post
The plan was to brew today, a 7.5 gallon batch of Bottoms Up Brown. Called Noah for a ride to the LHBS for grain, but said the Ark was booked! This is an all day rain with 1/4-1/2" of rain per hour predicted, even out in the garage with the back and forth to the house is going to be too wet. Guess I'll get the grain and brew Sunday, straighten up the taproom, organize brewing related printed material.

Been there, done that. Even if it doesn't rain much where I brew, the wind can make brewing suck.
Oddly, we've been somewhat dry but that's changing this weekend. It has been exceedingly hot though. Just walking outdoors with the humidity makes you almost have to change your shirt.

The new Domino's commercial stars a friend of ours Stan, fellow tailgater, Browns fan and the guy that contracted me to brew for the Browns Backers banquet back in March!

Made a water filter set up today. Posted pics and parts in the advanced equipment thread. Works really well. Really looking forward to my first brew day with the new setup 2 weeks away!

Once a month my wife takes her turn making her team a snack. Most people buy something from the store but my wife doesn't like to do that. She tried something new this month. We made cake pops! On top of that they are allowed to consume alcohol in their office after hours. They actually have a tap with a few beers they can pour from. It is a real young company that allows a lot of neat things to create a fun environment. She checked with her boss and got the go ahead to bring 2 growlers of my beer in to serve at the end of the day too. Gave them a kolsch and a pale ale. Should be a good amount of feedback for those!

Not me. Here the early spring and late fall are the best of times. Geeesssssus! Summer is miserable. Almost $300 electric bills, brewing is a pound of grain vs. a pound of sweat and just cutting the lawn is 5 gallons of water to replinish the system.
But for those of you who have 1 month of summer, I do see your love. Enjoy, as I hear the sun is going to sleep for the next 20 years and we're headed for an ice age.
Did you hear that Al Gore?
