What a dilemma

Post by braukasper »

SWMBO cleaned out the freezer & the freezer on the beer frig. She found hops, lots & lots of hops! Like almost 15 pounds worth. She found 8 unopened 1 lb bags, 1, 5 lb bag of Cascade also unopened & a bunch of little bags of hops. I have not gone through the stash yet. Guess I better start brewing before she discovers my grain hoard, that I know is well over a 100 pounds! :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy: :jumpy:

Wow, that's no small find. And even better than finding a $20 in your jeans pocket while doing the wash!

Heck, I swore I wasn't going to buy anymore hops until I got to half my quantity but ended up by 8 oz of Azacca just because I liked the name.

See now I open my freezer and look at my 2#'s of hops and think "Beer Lord would laugh at that...".

I really didn't want to do this but I ashamedly took a look to see about how much I have in the freezer. It looks like I have a bit more than 12 lbs of hops! I do admit I have a sickness and have brew A LOT less lately and don't see an increase in sight. But when I get my second wind, you better watch out. Guess I should plan on some very hoppy beers and put some recipes together.

I don't think I've used 12lbs of hops since I started brewing! Zoinks!

One of my favorite beers uses a pound or so. The last half hour six one ounce charges then starts the whirlpool. This beer is causes hop induced dreams!!
