One of the incentives for people to brew today was 50% all brewing ingredients so my recipe was only $20. Some people brewed 10 gallon AG batches and spent as little as $40.
I think most people brewed all grain batches but there were several that brewed extract, also there were some pretty interesting brewing rigs including a AG brewing structure using a latter as as the base complete with supports for the mash tun, sparge water and pumps to move the water/wort. Another was a single tier brew structure similar to D_rabbit's but this one had a Hop Rocket that was used to infuse hops as the wort is cooled and moved to the fermenter. Very interesting. Yet another brewing rig was the Blichmann Tower of Power complete with all the bells and whistles. The owner of which had never brewed before. All in all it was an interesting day and I believe that I convinced a few people that BIAB can make some pretty damn good beer without all the muss and fuss. From flame on to fermenter was 3 hours and I was packed and ready to leave 20 minutes after that. So not a bad day for brewing.
