I saw this a while back. It's a good review from someone who has zero knowledge if brewing. The people who are tasting the beer are critiquing the style of beer instead of the process.

I think the Pico doesn't make you give up anything as a brewer but simply makes the wort prep and cleanup much easier and controlled.
It just arrived at my door as I am writing this! It's in three boxes. One of which is huge and weighs 70 lbs.

Totally agree with your assessment. As I understand it, if you brew a given recipe via PicoBrew, and also do it normally, you should end up with the same result.

Awesome! She's a keeper. Think she could call my wife and encourage her to get one for me since I'm sooo.... special? I've been retired 8 yrs or so and need something like this to fill my time.

I told her this is taking the place of my midlife crisis car.

She's great! I kept saying it was too expensive and she just kept insisting that I should have it. She wins.

IMHO, you really need to take her out to a very nice dinner, show and walk in the park. Take her to her favorite thing, whether it be the Broadway show, drag races or whatever her heart desires to show her just how much she is very high on a pedestal. After something like this, you really need to treat her like a queen! Seriously, this is just awesome!!

WHOA FELLA! Don't go crazy on us. The car can still be leveraged instead of the 23 year old girlfriend.

I am going to unpack and clean it today. I need to make room on my work bench for the pico.

There is a pale ale kit included with the purchase. They call it Pico Pale Ale.

The times for the hops are not listed on the pictorial instructions.
The instructions look like the instructions for a piece of IKEA furniture.
It's a pictorial flow chart with no text. It's a little unclear. If I wasn't a brewer I would be a little confused.

This thing is connected to an on-line data base of recipes.
All you need to do is put the grain in the correct compartment and the hops in one of the 4 hop bins., download the recipe from the site, add water and push go.

I won't be happy just brewing the prepared recipes. Everything can be adjusted and customized for an individual recipe. For the casual, everyday new brewer the set and forget brewing will be appreciated.

I'll take a lot of pictures today.

One of the packages has all of the bins for grain and hops. Here it is unopened.

This what is in one of the boxes.
The black item is a cozy that keeps the keg warm during the mash.
You can see the main grain and hop bins just behind the cozy.
