Re: Anniversary
I live in Pennsylvania BlackDuck. The eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh. I hunt within an hour of here give or take. Crossbows were illegal up until about 5 or 6 years ago. With my dad getting older and a lot of family moving away, I find myself hunting alone more and more. Focusing mainly on Archery season seemed like the best route to go. And with the antler restrictions imposed by the game commision, the selection is better during the rut.
The crossbow is a lot louder but with a draw weight of 225, so much faster. With such a shorter string, any kind of silencer seems negligible. I used 100 grain grim reaper tips with my compound. Any chance of them opening during flight with the crossbow? Ive read mixed reviews and not yet tried them.
