West Coast Red

Post by Taz11 »

We've made this one twice now, and both times we weren't able to keep any around to condition it.

One of our next brew days we will make this again, and hopefully let it cold condition for a few weeks before we put it on the tap. :)

It looks really good. I haven't used crystal rye, or even heard of it. I looked it up, and found that it is just what it sounds like. It's way too long since I brewed, maybe this week.

I love anything rye. I've found that C hops work especially well with them as do Simcoe and Amarillo.

Nice. I'm a huge amber fan. And I'm seeing more people to trade beers with in these last few days

That does look good. I think the next time I get a kick for a Pale Ale I'm going to lean more towards an Amber or something like this, especially with fall comming. Yeah, a nice big hoppy Amber Ale. I brewed a West Coast Red last year, I need to brew that one again.

It did come out more Amber than Red, but still call it a West Coast Red.

we've even upped the IBUs into the 60-ish range and it still came out very good.

Enjoy folks!
