Wow, and I thought I was slow this year. I take it that's not normal for you?

It varies. I did 80 - 90 gallons last year but I had a couple of 10 gallon batches in that total.

What about you?

Very slow so far for me, too. I'm about 20G or so. I've had HUGE gaps in brewing coupled with drinking a lot of new local offerings.

I'd kill for 20 gallons. I'm only around 12.5 for the year. Between all of the life events that have occurred, I've had to jettison many a brew day. Couple that with not drinking near as much (and not having opps to share with people), I really have no need to brew anyway. But hopefully the fall/winter will slow down and I will be able to work a few brew days in. I have about 20 things queued up to brew at this point, so I'm not sure how I will decide what's next...

Zip, zilch, nada...

That damn heart attack thingy screwed up my priorities. I've had plenty, but brewed none. Getting ready to change that and come back strong through the fall :borg2:

We certainly have. I don't think Jon's done more than 6 batches and I haven't done a single one.

Well, it's good to know that nobody is alone in brewing only a few times this year. I know some folks here are brewing every weekend and sometimes I think everybody else is and I'm the only one not doing that.

I'm sorry to hear about folks lack of brewing. I like to brew at least a 2+ gallon batch every week or two if I can. I do crazy short boils, use fresh extract that I like (like the MoreBeer Pils), or whatever it takes to make sure I have time to brew.

Brewing for me is time to relax. It's what I did when I had nothing else to do. Since getting back into running, running has become that... thing. It has taken up all my spare time. I will start dividing that time between to two in the coming weeks and I'm sure brewing will become much more prevalent as we move into late fall and winter.

I think I'll be like the old German brewers brewing through the winter months to have beer for the summer months

Since July I've managed to brew 25 gal of beer and 18 gal of wine.

I have to believe for the year, I'm at 70 or 80 gal of beer and pushing 40 gal of wine. I only do extract brews so it's pretty easy for me to whip up a 5 gal batch in a few hours each weekend.

The wine kits are so easy - it takes more time to sanitize the fermentor than it does to mix the juice and pitch the yeast. I've also been doing some Welch's Grape Juice wines - super easy to mix some juice and sugar then pitch the yeast.

On July 4th, our LHBS had a 25% off sale on all beer and wine kits. I grabbed 8 beer kits and 2 wine kits. We are building a solid pipe line for football season.

Doing my first 2.5 gal in the new house as I type. I haven't gotten to brew for almost 2 years now. Things being what they were, where we were, and what it was.
Howsomever! I am getting back into it. I did (doing) a modified Nong Irish Red. I've got to get my head back into the Lingo here...
I've used DME & Grain. Used my first smack pack...always used dryed or vile yeast.
I am basically replacing ALL my brew equipment as the old stuff was :A ~ wore the phuq out, or just ruined at the last place.
Well, anywhoway, I'm back.
The Nong Rides again.
