Payin my dues, drinking his brews

Post by Inkleg »

August is my 1 year anniversary coming over to Leigh's site. As when I joined I have made another donation to help Leigh keep this site up and going. Leigh is modest, a hell of a nice guy and truly loves every thing this site is able to give us and asks nothing in return.

This thread shows how much he cares about this site. So lets do what we can to help him keep it going. This will take you to the home page. I made my donation with PayPal, easy peeze, lemon squeeze. I know everyone's finances are different, please help when you can. (This endorsement has not been solicited by Leigh or the Beer Borg. Any resemblance to anyone wearing a kilt is purely coincidental  )

Now on to his beer. Not only can the man run a web site, but he brews a FANTASTIC beer. When we meet a few months ago he was kind enough to give me a Bomber of (a Belgian Blonde).
Now that I'm at the bottom of it, wow am I feeling it. A slight earthy/spicy hop nose with a wonderful smooth malt sweetness, kinda dry finish making me want more.
Thank You Leigh,
For the beer and the site. :clink:

Y'know what? I joined just a couple days before you did.

And I should pay it back, too. It's too late, and I'm too tired (worked 11 hours today) to go upstairs and get my wallet, but I'll definitely feed the kitty this weekend. Your reminder is a timely one, Jeff. Leigh has done a yeoman's job with this website, and we should show our appreciation by helping keep it afloat as we're able.

Zombie thread lives!

Not really, it's just that time of year again for me to pay my dues.
August 2013 was when I jumped ship from the MrBeer community and came to this site set up by LouieMacGoo. Leigh has never ask for any support for running this site, but I know it's not free. Leigh does a fantastic job keeping this site up and running, allowing us to continue to learn about this hobby we love as well as staying in touch with friends we have made over the years so I feel it's money well spent.

Well it seems that MrBeer has done it again. What is it with them and August?
There are a lot of new refuges looking for a home and we are glad you have found us. Please know that there is no obligation, no peer pressure to donate. I do each August because I enjoy coming here and kicking Paul (Beer-lord) and Chris (BlackDuck) in the shins. :p
Any amount I'm sure helps. You can go here (right hand side of the page) and send the man enough money for a six pack as he can hardly find the time to brew.

Has it been a year already? Thanks for the reminder, Jeff. I'll be sure to make a contribution this evening. Interesting that I was thinking of it just recently. Also interesting, if you read my post, that I worked an exceptionally long day last year, and did so again this year. What goes around, comes around.

Thanks for the reminder Jeff! Your like the alarm on my phone to remind me of something, since most times I can't remember what I did this morning!!! I donated when you posted last time, so I figure I'll let you be my alarm for re-upping!!!
Thanks for all you do with this site, Leigh! To run something like this, have a Family life, and hold down a full time job, and still find time to brew a batch or two well I commend you !

Beer-lord started the other thread and I'm gonna bump this one again. Y'all know the drill, Leigh is evil a sweet guy  and wants us to have a place to call home and interact with each other. He made this place for us. Thank You Leigh.

I'd also like to to point out it is coming up on a year for some of our newest folks. Sorry you lost your other place, but I'm glad you found us. Many of you have settled right in being friendly and helpful and we are glad to call you Borg.

See you next year.

Thanks for the reminder, Jeff. I'll be making a donation tomorrow. At the moment, I'm in m pajamas, and my wallet is upstairs.

But seriously, folks, support The Borg. There's no better homebrewing site, and we're more than blog friends; we're family.
