This pic was from a couple days ago but I had one earlier today. It's called "Morir Soñando", also in proper glassware!
From Spanish, it translates to "die dreaming" and is the name of a drink that I call a lime creamsicle. The original drink comes from Dominican Republic, where my folks are from, and is made by pouring lime juice into a glass filled with crushed ice and sugar, and then milk is slowly poured in while stirring to keep the acid from the lime juice from curdling it.
This beer is essentially a golden wheat milk stout with limes in an effort to translate from creamsicle to beer...sicle. Next time I might add more lactose, but it's friggin delicious! Served cold, it's a lime bomb. Warmed up to about 50-55, the lactose creaminess comes through and tastes more as it was intended.

Scored BIG today. Had to go to about 4 stores and several miles to get my fix.....then treated ourselves to some of it on Draft at a local establishment. If Parish would make more of this, they'd make enough money to double their brewery. Seriously, it sells out in less than an hour when it hits the stores and somehow folks know when it's coming. Still the best beer made in La by far.......but competition is heating up, thankfully.

Beer-lord wrote:Noble Brewer Cafe Con Leche Stout. Not bad at all but not very stouty. 6.6 ABV but the body is a bit light.
Still, it was free beer (that I won) so while I might not buy this regularly, if it were for sale, I would get this every now and again.

I guess I don't know the backstory on how you got this, but are you in the Noble club? Have you had other beers from them? In your opinion, is it worth $173 per year for 16 bottles (after untappd discount) to join?

I won a free, 1 time order of 4 bottles of Noble brewed beer. When it arrived, 2 were broken so it took them a while but they sent me 4 more of different beers. In the meantime, they automatically added me to the membership and charged my card for 1 delivery and sent me 4 more bottles. I cancelled as it's expensive, I have too much beer and I'm not interested.
The beers I've had (and still have left) are better than decent. Most are very good though not great.
I'm just not a club membership guy. Actually, I'm not really sure they'll survive. I do like the idea of bombers and cards they send with info and how to share and open up to friends who don't normally drink craft beer but again, it's not my kind of thing so I'm not sure if I could be fair in making a recommendation.
You can cancel at any time so you're not locked in to any long term commitments. Communication is just average though.

You just can't get too much Rectum......Rectum RyePA that is. This one keeps changing each week in small ways but always tastes good to me. I'm just loving rye beers and should make more of them.

Hmm… just finished a couple glasses of BrewDemon's Wild Spirit IPA. Only got 3 1/3 1-Liter bottles left from a 2.5G recipe (it filled 10 1 Liter bottles), now only if all my beers were this good.

The more you brew, the better they will get. Practice makes perfect and brewing is one of the few things I like to practice alot. Wanna guess what the other is?
